BCM Business Tour at the Salkhit Wind Farm

The Business Council of Mongolia invites you to attend our upcoming BCM Business Tour at the Salkhit Wind Farm on 10 May 2024.

Located in Sergelen Sum, Tuv Aimag, the Salkhit Wind Farm is the first independent power plant developed by Newcom LLC. It consists of 31 turbines generating 168.5 GWh of electricity annually, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 165,490 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent. This project aims to generate clean electricity, reduce air pollutants, and serve as a model for future renewable energy projects in Mongolia. It is the country's first grid-connected renewable energy source and the first independent power producer with private sector investment, creating local employment opportunities and building local capacity in the renewable energy sector.

The Business Tour, organized by the BCM in collaboration with the Newcom Group and Salkhit Wind Farm, allows visitors to gain one-on-one first-hand experience and knowledge about the company's behind-the-scenes operations and witness Mongolia's first grid-connected renewable energy source in action.

The BCM is honored to have Mr. Gantumur Tuvdendorj, Deputy Minister of Economy and Development, joining the Business Tour as the special guest.
